Beacon
Beacon installs a Minecraft server on a machine you own, with a web dashboard, scheduled backups, mod management, and a live 3D map.
Beacon is for people who want their own Minecraft server without learning server administration. One install command on an Ubuntu machine sets up the whole stack: the server, a web dashboard over HTTPS, scheduled backups, mod management, and a live map of the world.
Friends join through the Beacon launcher for macOS, Windows, or Linux. It fetches the right game version, loader, and mod list from your server, so everyone stays in sync. Mods come from Modrinth and CurseForge and are managed from the dashboard.
The map is Vantage, installed with the server. Servers are private by default; listed ones show up in the Atlas directory on beacon-mc.io. Beacon is in alpha.
